I need some help identifying a mystery screw that appeared out of nowhere. It’s a T30 Torx, with the threaded part measuring about 1 1/16" (27.5mm) long. I found it after opening the rear passenger door. I’m worried where it came from.
I’ve searched the car and even looked through the parts catalog, but I can’t find anything that matches. The Tesla parts search isn’t exactly user-friendly, so I might have missed something. The only reference I saw was in the high-voltage "penthouse" diagram, but it’s not clearly visible there.
Has anyone else had this happen or seen a similar screw in their Model Y? Any ideas where it might belong? I’m hoping it’s nothing critical, but I’d rather figure it out before something starts rattling or worse.
