Model Y E-Trailer Hitch Install

Just slapped an E-trailer hitch on my mom’s Model Y and hit a weird snag. The front battery doesn’t have a bolt like the older models, so I had to get a bit creative with a nut. Anyone else run into this, or am I the only one turning this into a DIY puzzle?

You can use a flange nut as well. As long as it tightens it, it's good.

Haven’t heard of anyone else running into that front battery bolt issue, but definitely a creative fix with the nut.

I’ve heard of others getting creative with the battery mount, as newer models can have different configurations. Nice work improvising! I believe it will hold up well long-term.
