I'm eyeing a used 2022 Model Y. But word is, you can't snag a Homelink module for it anymore. Is that for real? If so, why'd they cut it out? I'm thinking of DIYing it, but it sucks theyre not offering it anymore!!
Yes, it's true that Tesla stopped offering the Homelink module for the Model Y. They made that change to streamline production, but it’s a bummer since it was such a handy feature.I'm eyeing a used 2022 Model Y. But word is, you can't snag a Homelink module for it anymore. When I was looking at used cars, I had my heart set on a Model Y too. I remember finding a great deal, but then I heard the same thing about the Homelink module being hard to come by. I asked a few folks at a Tesla meetup, and they said it was likely due to supply chain issues or a shift in focus for Tesla.I'm eyeing a used 2022 Model Y. When I was shopping for a used Model Y, I faced similar challenges with the Homelink module. I ended up going for a different model with it already installed, which made things so much easier. When I was looking at used cars, I had my heart set on a Model Y too. I considered DIY options as well, but it felt like a hassle. I ended up finding a different model with the Homelink already installed, which saved me a lot of headaches. It’s a bummer they cut it out, but if you’re really set on that used Model Y, maybe look into some creative workarounds or aftermarket solutions that others have tried.
