About to go on a month-long trip and brought my 12V fridge. Love the thing, but how do I keep it powered when I'm not in the car? The trunk socket dies when I leave, and I don't want to drain my battery in camping mode.

Since this post has been up for a while, you might have already gone on your trip, but I wanted to share my thoughts. That 12V fridge is a fantastic addition! Just a quick reminder: avoid running it in enclosed spaces like the trunk with the cover closed, as it can overheat. Also, keeping the climate control on is a good idea if it's warm outside. To keep it powered when you're not in the car, consider using a portable power bank or a solar charger to run it without draining your battery in camping mode. Hope you had a great trip?

Oh man, I once took a long road trip in my Model Y and packed a 12V fridge for snacks. I ended up getting a portable power bank and a solar charger, they were total lifesavers.
