Anyone Done It? Thinking about hooking up a utility trailer with a couple of ATVs to my 2023 Model Y. Total weight should be under 1500 lbs. Has anyone tried towing with a Model Y? Worried about range and handling.

It has a towing capacity of of 3,500lbs, so it should be good. Expect a decrease in electric range while towing. You might see a bigger decrease than 25% depending on your speed.

I haven’t towed with my Model Y yet, but I’ve heard others say it handles pretty well with a utility trailer, especially under 1500 lbs.

1500lbs? That is not a big deal. I tow a bigger, heavier boat, but it does cut down on range.
