Just scratched the rims on my 2022 Model Y from a pothole! Anyone got tips on good rim protectors that actually do the job and don’t look awful? Drop your suggestions and what’s worked for you!

Just scratched the rims on my 2022 Model Y from a pothole too  . It is not a good make having the rims stick out, making it easy for them to get damaged.

Ouch, potholes are the worst! Rimblades or AlloyGator are solid choices for rim protectors. Low-profile options, different colors, everything you need.

For rim protectors, here are some options that might help:

  1. Rimblades or RimSavers: These are popular and come in different colors (or even clear) so you can match your style. They stick on the edge of your rim and can handle minor scrapes. Just make sure to prep the surface well before applying so they stay put.
  2. AlloyGator: These are a bit more heavy-duty. They slide between the rim and the tire, offering more protection but can look a bit bulkier. If you don’t mind the extra presence, they’re solid.
  3. Tesla-specific rim covers: Some Tesla accessory brands offer sleek protectors designed just for the Y—worth checking out if you want a cleaner look.
