Looking for the cleanest setup for my radar detector. I want to use the cigarette lighter plug and hide the wire, so I'm thinking about mounting it on the white plastic part of the dash. Will this affect its performance? Anyone have experience with this? Any other mounting ideas that look good and work well?

Radar detectors need a clear view, so mounting it on the dash’s white plastic might impact performance. You could try a rearview mirror mount for a cleaner look and better experience.

Mounting on the white dash might look sleek, but it might turn your radar detector into a stylish but less functional dashboard ornament.

That sounds like a clean setup! Mounting it on the white plastic part of the dash could work, but just make sure there’s a clear line of sight for it to pick up signals. Have you thought about using double-sided adhesive tape? It can give you a nice tidy look.
