Well, I've been struggling with that stupid Model Y hitch cover popping off all the time. I finally figured out a hack. I cut some of the plastic clips, shoved in a rubber grommet, and now it's snug as a bug in a rug. Anyone else tried this or have a better solution?

Haha I've had this issue too! And credit to you, your hack sounds very clever. I tried using some heavy-duty adhesive tape on the clips, and it helped keep it in place, but your grommet idea seems like a solid fix. I’ll have to give it a shot.

How do y'all come up with these hacks? :ROFLMAO:Cutting plastic clips and using rubber grommets? You should get a badge for DIY ingenuity! If it keeps that hitch cover snug, you might just be the next Model Y wizard!

Right? At this rate, @EvoMo should start a DIY wizard school—“Enroll now for a chance to learn the fine art of rubber grommet sorcery!” :D

Glad you found a workaround! But do you think that might affect the hitch’s performance or safety in the long run?
