Thinking about going old school with redwall tires on my Midnight Cherry Red Model Y. I know, I know, it's kinda crazy. I've seen rim protectors and liked the look, but heard they're a pain. So, I'm considering painting a red stripe on my tires. Anyone done this before? Any tips or advice? I'm ready to dive in, but I wanna hear some thoughts first.

I've got a gray MYP and I’ve been thinking about adding a red stripe to the wheels too. Haven't tried painting tires, but it sounds like a cool throwback. Maybe rim protectors could be an easier option? Don't you think? I'd love to hear how yours turns out.

LOL. I was also debating adding some red curb rash protectors to my gray MYP but decided on red side camera covers instead and just a subtle touch of red. The back already has the red Tesla logo and accents on the taillights, so it ties together nicely. I’m now thinking about adding a red front grill/air intake cover. If you’re going for that old-school redwall tire look, it could totally work with the right accents. I would love to hear how the stripe turns out if you go for it.
