I just got my Tesla Model Y and already have a bit of a mystery on my hands. At only 175 miles in, I noticed a small stream of fluid dripping from the front of the battery pack onto my garage floor. At first, I thought it might be normal condensation from the HVAC system, but it seemed like a lot for a cool morning.

The liquid mostly evaporated within 15 minutes, but I managed to snap a quick photo when it was nearly gone (sadly, the better ones were uploaded to the Tesla Service app and not saved to my phone). I've already scheduled a service appointment, but I’m curious if anyone else has experienced this.

Is this just HVAC condensation? I’d appreciate any insights while I wait for Tesla to check it out.

Have you had a chance to inspect the fluid closely? If it’s clear and evaporates quickly, it’s probably HVAC condensation. But if it’s oily or has any color, it could be something else entirely, like coolant. I’d also suggest parking the car in a different spot to see if the same thing happens again, it could help rule out environmental factors like a wet driveway.
