Wider Tires for Model Y to Reduce Curbing?

So I’m toying with the idea of upgrading my MY’s tires to wider ones to fend off those sneaky curbs. I’m considering moving from 255/45/19 to either 265 or 275. I get that it might mess with the range a bit, but my main concern is saving my wheels from the dreaded curb rash. Has anyone taken the plunge with this upgrade?

Do you daily use your MY? If not, then that'll be fine.

I swapped out my winter tires for some 245/45R18s mounted on 8" wide wheels, replacing the stock 235/45R18s on 8.5" wides. The new setup gave me a little extra tire width that’s pretty much spot-on with the wheel size. Didn't make a huge performance jump, but it did stop me from scraping the wheels on curbs at least once, so yeah, totally worth it for that peace of mind!
