So I'm currently baking in the Arizona heat and thinking about getting some clear PPF installed on my Model Y's roof and windshield. Supposedly, it blocks those brutal UV rays and keeps the car cooler when it's just chilling in the sun.

Has anyone gone ahead with this? Did you notice any difference before and after getting it done? Trying to figure out if it's worth dropping the cash before I go for it.

It's more practical to have ceramic tint installed rather than the PPF. I'm using ceramic tint on my Explorer's sun roof and windshields. No problem even under the harshest heat of the sun.

Sounds like a smart move to me. Many people who have installed clear PPF on their roofs and windshields report noticeable differences in heat reduction and UV protection. It can definitely help keep your Model Y cooler.

After I had PPF installed on my Model Y, it felt like I was driving in a cooler bubble. I even noticed my sunglasses weren't getting as fogged up when I hopped in after a sunny day, which was a nice bonus.

Did you notice any other benefits after getting the PPF installed, like easier cleaning or improved paint protection?

One thing I totally loved after getting the PPF installed was that cleaning was much easier, and it really helps protect against scratches and chips.

I've also thought about it for my own vehicle! Clear PPF can keep the interior cooler and aid in UV protection. Although many people notice temperature variations, the cost is a personal decision.
