Has anyone tackled installing Paint Protection Film on their own? I’m gearing up for a full DIY project, but I know it’s gonna be trickier than it looks. If you’ve managed to pull this off yourself, I’d love to hear all your hacks and maybe a step-by-step rundown if you’ve got one. Also, where did you score some top-notch PPF? Any and all advice would be super appreciated!

I applied PPF to the entire rocker panel, trunk, door handles, door edges, headlights, taillights, and interior sills. I bought my PPF kit from TESBROS.

I found it helpful to remove bubbles with a tiny needle and a syringe. Poke the bubble and use the syringe to suction out the air or water. Finally, use a heat gun or a hair dryer to flatten the area.

Overall, the job was surprisingly manageable. YouTube tutorials were a big help.

I bought my PPF kit here: https://tesbros.com/?tw_source=goog...A9dsfYBQwwg_Q7Y5XN58Sgp5-16HlJMMaAndIEALw_wcB

I saw a thread about PPF a while ago, cant seem to find the link, but anyway I recently did a DIY PPF on mine and it's definitely tricky, but take your time and work in small sections. I got my PPF from XPEL and I remember how a heat gun and lots of soapy water were my best friends, literally. I will advice you start with the flat panels to get the hang of it.

The front bumper is a total pain to do. Grab a steamer, though, I managed without one. Ended up with a couple of overstretched marks. Also, lighting is EVERYTHING. It looked flawless in the garage, but once I hit the sun, I got a bunch of tiny bubbles (thank God for the syringe to fix that). Also, there are a few spots with tiny bits of dirt that I’m NEVER getting out unless I redo the whole thing. But yeah, overall, I’m like 85% happy with it, lol.
