Supercharging with bike rack

Thinking about getting a Model Y, but I'm worried about road trips with my two bikes on a hitch rack. Has anyone tried supercharging with a bike rack on? Do you have to take the bikes off every time? That would be a huge pain!

You don't have to worry about unloading it. Vehicles with trailers/bike racks can be charged at certain Supercharger locations, which have designated parking spaces for these kinds of vehicles.

Some people have managed to supercharge with a bike rack on, but it might depend on the charging station layout. It could be a whole lot of stress if you have to take the bikes off every time.

A lot of superchargers, if not most, have at least one stall designed for pull-in or pull-through charging.

I don't see any problem. Never heard that some load would slow down the charging process.

I don’t think he’s referring to the bikes on the hitch rack messing with the charging speed. I think his struggle is more about reaching to the charger with the bikes in the way.
