I’m curious if anyone had this experience with Tesla’s service. I sent a service request for my Model Y through the app and was scheduled for mobile service. I even got emails, one confirming the appointment and another asking me to take a "satisfaction survey" after the service.

But a couple of days before the scheduled date, I checked the app, and my appointment was just... gone. No notification, no explanation, just disappeared. Trying to figure out what happened has been frustrating, to say the least.

Here’s what I ran into:
  • There’s no way to talk to an actual person. I called Tesla’s main number and my local service center, but all I got were automated responses telling me to check the app or website.
  • On the website, I managed to get to a chat interface, but the "Chat with Us" button was disabled, yes, I tried during their listed chat hours.
Eventually, I found an email address for my local service center and got a reply. They said the appointment was canceled because the issue was deemed “within normal specifications” by the remote technician. I would’ve appreciated being notified about this directly instead of finding out on my own.

Has anyone else had this happen? If so, how did you handle it? I love my Tesla, but this lack of communication makes the service process so frustrating.

Occasionally, the service section of Tesla's website and app can experience glitches. It's possible your appointment was lost during a recent system issue.

Can’t believe they didn’t give you a heads-up about the cancellation, especially after you had the appointment confirmed. Ridiculous! Atleast you managed to track someone down to explain, but yeah, the lack of communication is frustrating. You’d think they’d have a better way of keeping you in the loop! Hopefully they get their act together soon!

The app works all the time for me. Coming from tech, I think having it documented on an app, at least someone gets to monitor what's happening instead of setting up appointments over the phone. Keeps them on their toes y’know.
